We are pleased to announce that the Greater Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) Board of Directors has officially adopted the revised Final Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) on Tuesday November 12, 2024. This significant milestone was achieved in close coordination with the Mid-Kaweah and East Kaweah GSAs, exemplifying the strong collaborative spirit within the Kaweah Subbasin.

The process of revising and refining our GSP involved outstanding efforts from our consulting teams, whose expertise and dedication were instrumental in addressing key challenges and meeting the state’s requirements. Their collaboration and teamwork have been essential in enhancing the plan and ensuring a unified approach across the entire subbasin.

As we prepare for our probationary hearing scheduled for January 7th, we want to highlight that we have engaged in several constructive meetings with the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the State Water Resources Control Board. These discussions have been crucial in aligning our revised GSP with the state’s expectations and demonstrating our commitment to sustainable groundwater management.

We appreciate the ongoing support and involvement of our community and stakeholders. Your input continues to play a vital role as we move forward in securing a sustainable water future for the Kaweah Subbasin.
